Brilliant day at the Essex Young Farmers Country Show on Sunday the 17th of May, met lots of lovely ladies who want to get involved as well as lots of men who want to too!
The show was huge, much much bigger than we expected and we had top spot in the Game Fair Marquee. We enjoyed sharing the tent with The Blackwater Wildfowlers Club, The National Organisation of Beaters and Pickers Up (NOBs), a local taxidermist (who we got to watch create a stuffed penguin!) and a beautiful Wood Turner whose creations were truly beautiful! We also got see the lovely Simon from the BASC Central office – we’re looking forward to working closely with them in the future!
But really the best bit of being the best marque was the scurry course right outside the door! So of course, the dogs had to have a go or two (or three or nine…). They did brilliantly, even with having lots of spectators.
The BIGGEST THANK YOU’s have to go to the incredible LaSS Ladies who joined us on the stand. They were absolutely wonderful chatting to lots of ladies and telling them about LaSS, what we do and our events. The day would not have been so successful nor could we have done it without them! Thank you Jamie, Sara and Emily for all of your help!
But the real star of the show was the lovely Lola, who despite her small size had the biggest draw for everyone, especially in her specially made LaSS T-Shirt!
Thank you to all of the Essex Young Farmers who helped with the day, especially Georgia Antoniou who organised the show – Thank you.
