On the 1st March, 16 lady guns and a few spectators invaded the lovely Wittering Grange outside Peterborough for a LaSS day of clay shooting. After a quick cup of tea and introductions everyone made their way to the shooting ground to get started.
With a range of abilities from absolute beginners to very experienced shoots the ladies were divided into three groups. The instructors were really great and took us through the basics and made sure that everyone comfortable and happy before we got started.
Although it was a lovely and sunny day, strong winds made the shooting very interesting… I don’t think a single clay behaved the it was ‘supposed’ to and we all had to concentrate very hard. Despite the tricky winds everyone did incredibly well and the day even ended in a shoot-off between Kim and Serena which saw Serena as the ‘winner’!
After shooting everyone was quite pleased to go inside and warm up with sandwiches, tea, scones and obviously a whole lot of bubbly! All in all it was a great day with lots of giggles and great shooting and we can’t wait to see everyone again soon!
