Behind the Scenes

Why we started Ladies Shooting Society

LaSS was set up in 2014 by us, sisters-in-law Lara and Linn with the ambition to get more women in to shooting.

Lara, who started shooting at the age of 12, was looking for more opportunities to go shooting in East Anglia but found that very few shooting schools who organised events that were specifically aimed at female shots. Swedish-born Linn on the other hand, had spent the last few years picking and beating on game shoots but had never picked up a gun and she felt that classes at a regular shooting school were not quite her thing. From this need for more women focused shooting, LaSS was born.

We wanted to create a club where we could both get to shoot and develop our skills at our own pace whilst simultaneously meet likeminded women and enjoy fun days out. Over the past years LaSS has grown into a fantastic 'hobby' that has given us the opportunity to get to know a whole bunch of fantastic ladies that have been joining our shoot days, shoot at some fabulous locations and develop a range of other activities such as Gundog Training Days and Game Dinners.

Hopefully you will join one of our events and enjoy being a 'shooting LaSS' as much as we do!

Lots of love,

Linn & Lara, Co-Founders of LaSS
