How our Days Work

LaSS organise a range a different ladies-only country sports events, however a majority of our events are focussed around clay shooting, so to give you an idea of how our regular clay days are structured this page describes a LaSS day from start to finish!

On our Upcoming Events and Shop pages you can see all our upcoming events, both clay days, reoccurring shooting clinics and special one-off events. We update this page regularly so either keep an eye on this regularly or sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know when we announce a new event.

Put the event or events that you're interested in joining in your shopping cart, if you are a LaSS member you choose a discounted 'LaSS Member' ticket and if you're not a member you choose the 'Non-Member' ticket. You don't have to be a member to join our events, but as a member you enjoy a discount on all our events plus a bunch of benefits. At the checkout you will be asked to enter information about your shooting experience, any food allergies, etc. - we ask all this to ensure that you have an enjoyable day out!

About a 5-7 days before the event we will send you an email with directions, timings, etc.

At the day of the event, we normally meet up at around 9.30 for a tea, coffee and a chat ready to get started around 10. All our shooting events are tailored to accommodate ladies of all ability levels, from complete beginners to experienced shots. We therefore divide you into groups to ensure everyone gets the right level of tuition. The groups normally have a maximum of 6 people and each group has their own qualified and experienced instructor who work with you throughout the day.

The instructor has all the equipment you need for the day, from earplugs and safety goggles to guns and cartridges, all you need to do is make sure that you have clothes suitable for the weather and comfortable footwear - there is no dress code so just make sure you feel comfortable!

Once you're all sorted the instructor will take you around the different stands where you get to practise and improve your shooting skills. Each stand is different and are sure to challenge you...

When we're done with the shooting, normally about 2 hours, we meet up and have a light lunch and a few glasses of bubbly together (non-alcoholic options available)!
